Financial Manager

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND

An exciting opportunity to work closely with the Group CFO and the office management. Help to oversee our financial- and revenue models, financial goals, objectives, OKRs, operating plans, and operating budgets.

It is about so much more than just the numbers! The role is not just about making the finance function run effectively; it is also about clearing the path for growth, forming new relationships and partnerships, generating measurable value, and establishing and improving key processes. As OZ is a Delaware C corporation, we need to work with US shareholders and financial frameworks to build up a solid Silicon Valley corporate infrastructure, and data-room. This may include the use of tools like Carta or US-based accounting systems.

The role is very much integrated into the day-to-day of the business, including investor relations, financing deal-making, governance, reporting, and other key back-office matters.

Take a lead role in bringing operational excellence to the company, installing the right amount of process, reporting, and structure. Forecasting, modelling, and analysis with OKRs.

  • To help our finance team to make financing as our secret weapon!

  • Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers. This may include calculating the potential Annual Recurring Revenue of the deals.

  • Good strategy and planning skills, people management/influencing skills.

  • Improve our cash planning, review of pricing and ensure good structure in our commercial deals.

  • Help to develop a “frugal mindset” within the management team.

  • Stretch our funding by knowing which expenses to cut without harming the business.

  • Help OZ build an agile infrastructure.

  • Be a trusted advisor to the OZ team.

  • Be alert on new innovation and tools that can bring more agility to OZ.

  • Help make our Weekly Ops driven by the right metrics (delta changes and other critical metrics/indicators).

  • Help prepare the data and reports for our monthly board meeting.

  • Build up and foster the Data-room at OZ, make sure all contracts are in good order. Bring all agreement in good order (employee agreement, Carta, license agreements, NDAs)

  • To be constantly seeking new opportunities for us to succeed, as well as keeping an eye on the competition, and making sure we are at the forefront of the industry.

  • You are open to travelling between the OZ offices, to help align our teams and processes.
