About the team

The Leadership Team provides OZ Sports with the vision, the drive, and the direction to continue its rapid growth and development into a major sports properties around the world. 

From engineering to commercial, to finance, the leadership team is our C-suite level grouping that sets the tone and agenda for all areas of the business. It is comprised of some of the brightest and most ambitious people in the business.

What will I do?

Based in our London Headquarters, as the CFO, you will be spearheading the company through its most exciting scale-up phase. You will provide quality commercial and strategic analysis to the business and board with the knowledge to help make critical decisions about pricing and commercial agreements, and return on investment across the business.

This opportunity involves preparing monthly forecasts and budgets, managing working capital, and annual statuary returns. Additionally, you will be building a strong working relationship with investors and work closely with both the CEO and COO.

Responsibilities will include

  • Manage the finance team (currently 2 individuals) – this includes training, coaching, delegation, and performance management, and retention of our team.
  • Partner with our founder, management team, the board, and investors on both financial and business-related matters.
  • Be a key member of our Senior Management Team (SMT) providing input regarding the financial implications of all global business decisions.
  • Establish a solid financial foundation and forecast, using appropriate systems, that will allow the business to scale effectively globally.
  • Analyse, review, and report on financial data and performance.
  • Review and manage our accurate forecasting, review pricing strategies and sales compensation plans, minimise unnecessary spend, and improve processes for sustainable and efficient growth.
  • Regularly review and analyse our ROI in all areas of the business.
  • Administer our Series A fundraise.
  • Be the right hand and finance-oriented business partner to our CEO and COO for strategic decisions.

Requirements 

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
  • Qualified Accountant ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • 5+ years of senior strategic finance professional experience within a high growth organization (ideally a CFO or #2 at a high growth SaaS business)
  • Experience in being a key member of a Senior Management Team with success providing input to the CEO, Board, and peers
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Proficient in the use of Excel/Google sheets and financial management software (e.g. Xero)
  • Ability to strategise and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
