Electromechanical Assembly Expert

An exciting opportunity to join a team at the forefront of remote sports video production.

OZ Sports is looking for an electromechanical system tester, to work with the OZ engineering and industrial design team. We're looking for someone driven and very motivated, to build robust and resilient hardware products that last and are based on high-quality design.

Our video systems are designed based on the following guidelines:

  1. Resiliency/Weatherproof. Supporting harsh/cold winters and warm/hurricane summer conditions.
  2. Minimum vandalism, the material can protect the equipment from vandalism.
  3. Attractive design, with quality materials and finishing touch on all details like the joints.
  4. Simple, remote operation, taking into account a zero-touch operation and maintenance. Built for scale.

Key points: Are you up for the challenge?

To make our end-user apps our secret weapon! Good planning skills, people management/influencing skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) +1-2 years of professional experience, in Electricity or Mechanics.

  • Capacity to assemble mechanical products and fulfil product orders. This requires manipulating large metal parts, detecting part defects, giving feedback, and proposing solutions.

  • Ability to read 2D & 3D drawings, parts, assemblies. Comfortable with at least one CAD tool (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion360…)
    Understanding of electrical circuitry: electric motors, power supply, relays, electrical safety measures and heating.

  • Preferred: Previous experience in control boards serial ports, Python test scripts, understanding of digital video formats and IP networking.

  • Good planning skills, able to coordinate suppliers & logistics. Work located in offices (Shenzhen Futian district) and at factories (Dongguan) with frequent travel.
  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent field and 4+ years of professional experience. Cloud infrastructure experience.

  • Experience with Python and bash programming languages.

  • Knowledge of the following: TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VPN. Functional knowledge of the following: 802.1x, MAB, IPSec, VRFs.

  • Systems-level C/C++ programming is a big plus: the actual work the CPU does when you use smart pointers, templates, virtual functions, and blocks of memory, both structured and raw, fascinates you.

  • Keen to understand each millisecond of the network exchanges: you know where the time goes and how to reduce the waste.

  • Multi-platform: you understand, across all platforms, what happens hardware-level when certain code is executed.

  • Ready for a challenge: you’re eager to tackle the hardest low latency networking problems you can find.
    Work with other Network and Systems Engineers to make our platform more elastic and fault-tolerant.

  • Own projects from the discovery, design, implementation, delivery, and documentation to support the different services provided by our team.

  • To master the use of our Intercom.com support platform, in terms of giving quick response time on customer support inquiries.
  • B.S. in computer science or equivalent field and 4+ years of professional experience. Cloud infrastructure experience.

  • Experience with Python and bash programming languages.

  • Knowledge of the following: TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VPN. Functional knowledge of the following: 802.1x, MAB, IPSec, VRFs.
